Revisiting some of the Envision team’s 2022 projects!

Over the past year, the landscape and hardscape teams at Envision have been hard at work tackling a wide variety of landscaping, hardscaping, and irrigation projects for homeowners throughout the KC metro. Check out some highlights from 2022 below!

Brookside Patio Upgrade

For this project, the Envision hardscape specialists helped these homeowners transform their backyard with a new Techo-Bloc manufactured stone patio in the backyard of their newly acquired home in Brookside. When the homeowners purchased the home the year prior, the backyard had only a small wooden deck for outdoor entertaining. It was clear, the old, worn deck had to go. Taking matters into their own hands, the couple embraced the challenge, rolled up their sleeves, and completely demolished and removed the old deck. But, once that labor-intensive chore was complete, it was clear professional help was needed when it came to installing a new patio. They made the call to Envision.

The Envision team sat down with the homeowners and listened carefully to the vision they had for a new backyard entertainment space. The Envision design team drew up a plan utilizing CAD dynamic imaging to provide the couple with a clear visual picture of what the final result would look like. The homeowners were enthusiastic about the design, so the Envision team next helped the family choose quality manufactured stone pavers to match both the desired style and the allotted budget. Brookside Backyard Revival

The Envision crew’s work on this project was focused on three primary categories – drainage, lawn, and patio. The homeowners had observed the Envision team completing landscaping work for a neighbor and reached out for a consultation. The family had recently moved into the home and, after some hard rain, realized there were significant drainage issues that were affecting the side yard of the house – issues that put the home’s foundation at risk. Next up, the home’s lawn was in poor health. Lastly, the family was interested in adding a new backyard patio for relaxation and entertaining.

The Envision team went to work with regrading the side yard and installing a French drain to direct rainwater away from the property and out the curb. The Envision turf crew installed a fresh blanket of sod, giving the homeowners an instantly healthy and lush new yard. And to finish out the project, the Envision team built a spacious interlocking paver patio – perfect for grilling and entertaining. Independence New Build

This recently completed home in Independence with its expansive lawn and outdoor areas was a perfect blank canvas for the Envision team to create landscape magic! First up, the Envision design team worked closely with the homeowners to develop a comprehensive plan for this large-scale project. The homeowners wanted to line their long and winding driveway with trees, refresh their lawn with new sod, and install several plant beds and interesting plantings to create eye-catching greenery accents throughout the property.

Once the homeowners’ dream landscape plan was committed to paper, the Envision landscape pros went to work laying new sod, building river rock plant islands around the home, and then planting shrubs, ornamental grasses, and trees. Click here to see more before and after photos!
