The Smith brothers, John and Charlie, started the business that would become Envision Lawn and Tree back in 2011 in the Brookside area with little more than a mower, a white pickup truck and determination to be the best lawn and landscape company in Kansas City. Taking care of customers was second nature as most of them were friends and neighbors from Brookside, Waldo, Crestwood, and other South Plaza and Midtown neighborhoods.
As word spread that the brothers did great work, the business soon grew from lawncare and lawn treatment to leaf removal, landscapes, hardscapes, patios, drainage projects, and even snow removal for areas well beyond midtown – including Leawood, Prairie Village, Mission Hills, Roeland Park, Fairway, Westwood, Red Bridge and many more.
Taking Care of Customers in an Honest and Fair Manner
The business grew and the two brothers added more equipment and other skilled workers to their team – but they never forgot that taking care of customers in and honest and fair manner was what made their business special. Customers always seemed to be introducing them to a neighbor that then became another new customer.
Although the business may have grown over the years, the Smith brothers are the same friendly, reliable, quality-oriented guys with the same pride in workmanship that they had when they started. According to Charlie Smith, “When you love what you do, people can tell. John and I just try to treat each property like we would if it were our own.”
